gernot lukasek is self-taught. the materials and objects that he uses and that form as the basis for new objects include scrap metal, obsolete tools, found objects and driftwood. not only does gernot lukasek enrich each object with a new meaning, he also gives it a new use and a new function.
“keep one's eyes open everywhere and give free rein to inexhaustible creativity,” says gernot lukasek. this unconventional approach enables him to create unique artworks. no two are alike and no original is ever copied.
